About ASE Infra

We have the ambitious goal to grow and expand decentralized sanitation solutions in emerging markets by separating assets from operators, and enabling increased investment into the sector, by applying a proven asset management investment model from the renewable energy sector.

By 2030, ASE INFRA aspires to be a key player in the segment of decentralized sanitation economy infrastructure in India. Working through its Indian affiliate companies, SE-AUM Infra Partners Ltd. and Sanifra Infra Partners Ltd., ASE INFRA will achieve this position through the acquisition, construction, optimization of sanitation infrastructure assets which are subsequently rented to clients, providing them with a unique off-balance sheet financing service. ASE INFRA belongs to the Switzerland-based Hanaku Group

Purpose and Scope

Since 2022, ASE Infra has made multiple investments in India across Sanitation asset classes such

as Toilets, Treatment and Robotic Solutions. ASE Infra unique investment approach has helped many SMEs grow between 2x-5x than would have been possible with conventional financing.

 

We are looking for an accomplished investment professional with an entrepreneurial drive to be part

of the next phase of growth of ASE Infra.

The road ahead is about three broad milestones:

  • Capturing the learnings from the last 2 years and professionally managing the current portfolio of assets, consisting of public and portable toilets as well as sanitation infrastructure investments

  • Defining a clear business growth path ahead by increasing investments in the sector and further building the team

  • Raising further funds to increase the current AUM of $0.5m to $2m by 2026

Responsibilities

  • Portfolio Management

    • Monitor portfolio through regular engagement and financial and impact reporting

    • Manage relationship with portfolio companies for future opportunities

    • Support portfolio companies in their growth plans

  • Investments

    • Support Business Development Director in the development of a pipeline of potential investments through connections with the ecosystem partners and overall visibility

    • Maintain and further develop financial models, analyze historical financial statements, due diligence

    • Evaluate industry and market research, review company information for a portfolio of global sanitation enterprises

    • Prepare documentation; provide input into investment memoranda and related

    • presentations to the Investment Committee

  • Fundraising

    • Prepare documentation and participate in fundraising pitches

  • Reporting

    • Support portfolio reporting, including impact measurement

    • Prepare reports on performance and impact of portfolio companies to shareholders and stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience
  • 8-10 years’ experience in impact investments with a proven track record

  • Familiarity with water and sanitation sector business models and investments will be preferred

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent degree with specialization in finance

  • Fluency in written and spoken English – excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and sound business judgment to identify issues and present creative and practical solutions

  • Ability to work successfully in multicultural teams and across boundaries

  • Strong client service orientation with an openness to feedback and new ideas

  • Excellent presentation skills to represent organization to external stakeholders
